The beginningsCOMPANY HISTORY

1973

The parent company of WMW Machinery Company was established in the USA as a distributor of machine tools, specialized in heavy machinery for metal cutting. The first manufacturing capacity is commissioned and the first horizontal boring mill is manufactured.

1975

Bridge type milling machines are introduced into production.

1977

New machines are introduced in production; machining centers, grinding machines, flexible cells, transfer lines, special purpose machines.

1981

WMW Machinery Company became the exclusive trading house for WMW East Germany Machine Tools, which was a conglomerate of machine tools producers of East Germany, making WMW Machinery Company the only company legally allowed to trade under WMW trademark in the United States and North America.

1983

WMW Machinery Company expands operations in South America, Europe and Asia.

1985

Company obtains the CNCAN authorization for manufacturing nuclear equipment under quality assurance norms.

1986

Machining center CPFH 800 wins the gold medal to international technical exhibition from BMO – Czechoslovakia

1987

The line for machining brake drums for trucks type BTA 60, is delivered to MEGU company in Leipzig – Germany.

1994

The first CNC roll grinding machine with 1950mm grinding diameter and 10,000mm length is manufactured and exported to Canada.

1996

Special quality of the machine tools manufactured by the company leads to obtaining the certification of quality standards TUV ISO 9001.

2000

RPVR 6700 surface grinder is manufactured the largest of its kind in the world, a special order from SCHAFFER Grinding Company, USA, which bought over 30 surface grinders over the time.

2003

Boring and milling machines, vertical lathes and roll grinding machines are developed by improving their technical performances and fitting multiple accessories.

2005

Over 80% of the company’s production is delivered in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Turkey, India, South Korea, Egypt, etc.

2008

A group of five machines is delivered to VSMPO company in Russia for the machining of the Boeing and Airbus landing gear made out of titanium alloy.

2009

A landmark deal has been concluded for the delivery to Astrium Division – France of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) of an unique Vertical Machining Center, capable to machine parts for the Ariane 5 space launcher.

2010

Inauguration of one group of three roll grinders delivered to Salem Steel Plant branch of the Steel Authority of India.

2011

Commissioning of the roll grinding machine model RGC 1000×5000 CNC at POSCO MEXICO S.A. de C.V. Altamira – Mexico

2012

Delivery of a complex floor type HBM model BP 160 CNC to DOOSAN Heavy Industries & Construction Co. Ltd. – South Korea.

2013

Manufacture and delivery of 4 horizontal boring and millingmachines model BMK 130 CNC to BHEL Hyderabad, India in collaboration with HMT India

2014

Manufacture and delivery of two floor type boring and milling machine to PHILLIPS CORPORATION, USA

2015

Manufacture and delivery of a complex roll grinding machine model RGC 1400 X 5000 CNC to USS POSCO USA

Today

WMW Machinery Company continues to grow covering North America, South America, Asia and Europe. Today WMW Machinery Company is known for becoming one of the most reliable manufacturers of machine tools, known worldwide.
